As I've stated before i was a NEMSA supporter......I am doing my best to move forward and actually try and help accomplish something, however All you continue to do is the SAME OLD 250 BS!!......Bash and run.......throw out a few half trues and blame others. ENOUGH !!!

Have you been able to meet up with Mark Pinkas and crew. I believe they've already been to your neck of the woods?
No as of yet they have not made it here......I know they are coming in the not to distant future there has been no date set yet.
And i understand you all want to let your hair down and celebrate being the winners......Just remember that there are those of us that are here, not necessiarily by choiice, but were hear. I know that i may be the most vocal of that crew, but i am sure there are more just like me.
Have fun enjoy yourselves, you all worked hard to get this where it is, just dont let your celebrations destroy what you accomplished.
Again Mark, I have very much enjoyed reading your posts on here. I know you didn't vote for us, but you have spoken of your willingness to support us. I, for one, do not want to lose that.
Relax my man it's all good. The NEMSA folks know I have much love for them as well as everyone else. A little freindly nudge in the rib is always cool. We all have taken some shots the past few months and we will continue to take shots. Difference in opinion is what makes the world go round. You will also have to take note that I never attack anyone on a personal level. That is not what I'm all about. You see I have never faulted anyone for expressing their opinions about me or what I believe in and I never will. You see my friend I operate on the philosophy of. If you can't make fun of yourself then who can you make fun of? And believe you me I have plenty to make fun of myself about. You say the post was childish. Well your right. That was the point. Now I want you to think back when you where a kid on the playground at school. Do you ever remember being targeted by someone or perhaps targeting someone and makeing fun of them? Now think again. Did you at some point later in your childhood find yourself friends with that person? I'm willing to bet the answer is yes. You see Mark we all have been on the playground and some hurtful things have been said. But the bottom line is we have to look back and realize those things were said in our youth. Now we must become friends and work with each other. I appoligize if those Rhymes offended you or anyone else. But I must confess I had an agenda with that post. My agenda was to engage someone, anyone so that I might respond with this: To hate is to destroy yourself and to love is to love yourself. Live each day as though it where your last. And may God show his mercy upon all of us.
So, just to clarify.......It was no one single action that brought my response. The election has been over, yet the main topic of discussion is still NEMSA. I understand you "had" to deal with Medic ones questions........Even if most responses were with deep sarcasam and a round of salt.
The point is just try and let this go....There is no point to continuing wondering what is happening at the NEMSA site.......Where will they go next ?? What will Oak Valley do ?? or San Mateo ?? What is Tim or Torren doing this week ??.........What does any of that have to do with us?? "A full scale war" ?? We brought it and lost so why waste so much time and energy in decifering NEMSA plans?

Mark, well said. I guess we little counties will have to lead this effort. We both chose diffrent paths to reach the same goal, a new voice in our future. The first step will take place on Sunday Sept. 26th @ 1800 Hr. Hartnell Round Table Pizza. Although I doubt we have ever met, I think you are clear about my viewpoints in regards to this entire issue. You are absolutewl right in the sense that we need to move on and start the hard work of developing our new local.
However, NEMSA has filed its appeal, with no less than 11 objections within it. They are still very hard at work trying to discredit us. After reading through their appeals and the foundations upon which they were laid, I am confident it is not going to sway the NLRB. But, the pessimist within says that when this newly found organization is challenged, then it still must be addressed. Quite honestly Mark, it is NEMSA who is not letting bygones be bygones.
When they won the vote in San Mateo, did we protest? Did we file objections with the NLRB? No, we let it go and moved on. That is not the case here. It is even more difficult with repugnant individuals that log on here and can do nothing but insult his fellow EMT's. What kind of folks do this? I've lost count of how many nasty things I've been called, and for what, voicing my opinion? I've been a shop steward for many years, and I know I have helped my fellow workers and have their trust. I have never received an ounce of reimbursement from SEIU nor the IAEP. I have questioned and debated Torren and NEMSA over what they have done, but have never acted even remotely violently nor engaged in profanity, either here or in person in my many NEMSA encounters. Yet the attacks continue.
People like Erin, Jonathan, and myself are doing everything we can to make our workplace better. We've all pledged that we would indeed carry on with NEMSA if that was the way the vote worked out. Yet, it is on their end that this saga continues.
This is not going away anytime soon as long as the objections are in place. But, I for one will try to focus on the immediate task at hand, our local.
