NAMES PEOPLE!!!!

Would everyone please just have the common courtesy to sign your phucking names to your posts? After a couple of cocktails, I have a hard time figuring out who is saying what from where!  And if your ego is so fragile and you must play James Bond 007, at least represent your county. Thank you.

My name is nobody.

That is the way that I like it.  I do not hide behind it, I just believe that if you remain anonymous, your words are heard rather than your image.

I keep my current county a secret.

You and I have crossed paths several times, Kevin

Kevin,

I agree with you.  When people are so passionate about a subject that they throw accusations and insults it really deminishes their credibility when they hide behind their screen names.  By the way, I know we are on opposite sides of the whole IAEP / NEMSA issue, but I find your posts very informative (especially the ones regarding 401k).  Keep up the good work.

Peace,

Kevin,

I am also in agreement with you on the anonymous posting subject. Take this for what it's worth, but I feel you have been a good spokesperson for NEMSA.

Again, for what it's worth, and after a very long week of studying up on pensions, I feel we are better off with our 401(k)'s. I hope it is the decision of our local to scrap the "defined benefits" idea, and concentrate on other areas of our contract. At this time, considering how close we are to negotiations, I feel we are biting off way more than we can chew with this. Let's push for a higher percentage match from AMR, maybe work comp time in with our PTO, payscales, etc. I got to be honest, I have never been overly fond of the "Bay Area CPI" standard. I would also like to scrap the verbiage and calculations as it pertains to bilingual pay. This is total crap. Our bilingual employees should be reimbursed for their ability to effectively communicate with our patients. This not only increases the level of patient care, but also increases the chances of reimbursements and correct billing info, something AMR benefits from as well. There are very few communities that fall within the percentage of ethnicity that AMR demands. Unfortunately, we did agree to it, which is a mistake we need to remedy.

I would like to hear other opinions of articles we need to change/expound on.

Thank you,

Rod Billings, Shop Steward, IAEP, CoCo
