Core Labor

IAEP met with AMR management today. There were several main agenda items. They ranged from Tulare pay scales, to on-going conflict of interest problems perceived by both sides, to CCT stipends to name just three.

We had representatives from Monterey, Santa Clara, ALCO, Sacramento, CoCo, Tulare, and Shasta!! (sorry if I left out a county). We are very happy with not only the county coverage, but as well as the dialogue we had with AMR. We look forward to continued successful meetings in our efforts to represent our hard-working EMT's and paramedics.

We were also very happy to hear AMR totally honoring the wishes, as it was expressed through the vote, of our members. To quote Floyd Graves, " We have remained neutral during the process. It is our legal belief that the service agreement between SEIU Local 250 and IAEP is legal and AMR attorneys have given no reason to challenge that." We have been saying that as well, as well as SEIU Local 250, as well as SEIU Int'l. We are talking about multiple lawyers from four separately operating entities all saying the same thing.

IAEP is right on track with its By-Laws schedule, and tomorrow will be meeting with the folks in CoCo for their turn. I am hoping we will get a very good turn-out. I know there are some folks from other counties that will be joining us. Our home is your home. Again, we welcome any of our members to get involved. The meeting will be in the classroom from 5-9 pm. If you need directions, pls feel free to call our Ops at (925)602-1300. Your best bet is to talk to Yvette at ext 10. She is the glue that holds everyone together.

We will soon be drafting our By-Laws, and it will be time to start looking to assigning our reps. IAEP has felt strongly that all the reps need to come from our ranks, in other words, your brother EMT/Paramedic. Pls check your mail for our "Meet the Candidates" meeting. This is your chance to come out for not only a meet and greet, but to express concerns you may have in your workplace. We believe our potential candidates have both the experience of a field EMT/Paramedic and the knowledge of union matters to fulfill the expectations of their duties.

Another great day!!

Thank you,

Rod Billings

Poor Rodney,

That is not the information that I heard coming out of core.  By the way, how was your first core meeting in 8 years Rod?

The fact of the matter is AMR would love IAEP because they are weak.  Tell me one contract that IAEP has with AMR that AMR doesn't have the total upper hand?

So all the talk about AMR being behind NEMSA and wanting NEMSA to win seems to have changed.  Now AMR is getting in bed with IAEP?  hmmmmm

So the lawyers agree on the service agreement there Rodney.  Too bad the labor board doesn't.

Get ready for a big disappointment.

Hey Rod if IAEP is so great why are the local 1 members in Boston picketing them again?  It would seem that there are some EMS members that actually have a clue about IAEP.  Why don't you?

"That is not the information that I heard coming out of core"

Why weren't you there to get the facts for yourself instead of listening to the interpretation of others... I thought you were pro active in your county and contract unit Vern?? Why don'tyou go to one of these upcoming meetings for yourself?? Aren't you always bashing people for not getting the info for themselves.. and there was your chance to get the info at face value.. but since your so stubborn you can't get on with the buisness of moving on with your current union nor helping to get the best contract you can and build a relationship between you and your coworkers..... you must be very satisfied with youself.....

Way to blow it there Vern...........

Just to let all of you know, the Graves' comment was in direct response to Aaron Pelican asking him if it was AMR's intent to recognize IAEP.

So, I have no doubts, considering the damage inflicted to NEMSA today, that there would be tremendous spinning from NEMSA. Problem is, both sides took minutes. We know exactly who was there, and what was said. I can tell you one word that was never mentioned today: NEMSA.

You gotta love people, who didn't even attend the meeting, try to tell you what was or wasn't said. You know when a sentence starts out "That's not what I heard", it's going to be completely based on a person's opinion, and not on fact, along with that entire last post.

If we recall when Vernon Thymes made his first post here, he attempted to deceive everyone here into believing he supported and voted for IAEP. Just look at the post, it's still here. He was lying to us then, just as he continues to do today. I remember someone distinctly saying, several times, "The proof is in the pudding". All one needs to do to determine the on-going problem NEMSA has with its image is to look no further than its supporters right here.

Thank you,

Rod Billings

Rodney,

Exactly why is Floyd's announcement a blow to NEMSA?

What no answer Rod?  You’re the president, why is local 1 picketing for the second time?  Why is the great IAEP disliked so much? I know, they must not have a president quite like you.

I will be waiting for an answer.  As a member, it concerns me that our new wannabe union has so many problems with their headquarters local

mmmmmm.... seems to me that NEMSA has it's own problems in it's own back yard seeing as the surrounding barganing unit in it's headquarters base didn't vote for them, and to date they have only 80 or so members total.... what happened to the projected "10,000 new members a year"?

So did Rod give you the talking stick there Amy?

The question was for the aspiring president, not the self interested girl from LA who is on IAEP's payroll.

What are you talking about.. where do you get the idea that IAEP is "paying" me?? HELLLOOOO?? Are you illiterate?? Did you even read the post that I was referring to?? (NEMSA info dated Aug. 26)Try something else to discredit me with... getting paid by IAEP.... try again Vern...

I didn't ask you if you were going to be attending meetings in the future.. I asked why you hadn't been attending the meetings that you are quoting....

and since I was a dues paying member or IAEP for 5 years.. I consider it as some my money that paid for my travel coming back to me directly since I never needed to file a greivence, and therefore never go into arbitration.... Clear my side (Amy Martin)

Amy I don't need to discredit you. You just did it yourself.  IAEP is paying you.  A little fact that is not going to go over well here or in North Hollywood

Hi, Rod ( dumb ass)

The best part of you and L/M was your scared, timid little affect as you sat off to the side and let tubby makuchy do the talking for you.

So how was your FIRST labor managment meeting. Since you have been to sooooo many.

Once again RRROOODDD remember the woodwork you crawled from.

You motives are clear ( wannabe president ) and your integrity blows. So if you or your circus want the rest of us to listen , maybe you should get someone we respect

You will never respect anybody molester 365.  IAEP could bring in some right wing fanatic anti labor guy and you would still not respect him just because he was under the IAEP banner.

Wow, quite the bum rush. Hay Rat lover, or is it scab lover, may be you should ask Vern and MonsterTim660 how NEMSA is run. Clearly you have no clue so I will let you off the hook. If you can't help, then crawl back in your cage.

Scab. You’re the scab pal. The workforce has not approved IAEP being here and you support and work for them. If anyone is a scab its you.

Now, can Rod answer the question or not. Why is local 1 picketing IAEP?. Rod has had plenty of time to ask Pinkass by now. Do any of you IAEP dummies now why.

Rat man. No answer from you either. Sorry I called you a scab. From reading your post you clearly sound like a strong union supporter. Just not the union your in. I just wonder if you act the same way at work.
I do support IAEP but I do not work for them. I am just trying to ensure we don't get screwed by your blind devotion to Torren. I know you guys love him and it makes you sad that we did not. Try to remember that we are happy with our union. If you hate it so much then leave.

Scab.

You are the scab ratfink.  You are not part of the union.  You helped picket a union.  Picket a union house, that is more than the sign of a scab, there is no name below scab.  You are beneath a scab.  What do you expect us to call you?  That name is too gross to repeat here on the forum scabboy.

I truly doubt that you have any aptitude dealing effectively with management.  You cannot even communicate among peers effectively.

By the way molester, the productivity is happening elsewhere with active members participating.  All are welcome and none are shunned.  Except useless nemsites.

You think its hee hee funny that the forum isn't productive due to your antics. Undermining unity in the labor group = scab. Your continued obsession with Rod is so weird. "His Forum"?

Well, I've heard these types of forums usually degenerate. Hateful hiding bullies working out their psychosis find these vehicles too inviting. Not as threatening as leaving your home and dealing with people face to face. You're just as much a geeky no lifer you accuse people here of, as you are here regularly.
