Still moving forward

In spite of the lacking participation from general membership, things like the bylaws will move forward.  There is nothing that you can do about it.  I guess NEMSA could rear its injured head again but that won't go too far.  Not now that the prejudice of the leaders and supporters has been exposed and re-exposed.

If members do not get involved, then a few people will make all the decisions for them, and they will complain and blame.  And when something benefits them, they will not thank those that sacrificed their personal time to make those sound decisions.  Oh well, such is the life in EMS.

I really hope that when the dust settles, this union will be functional.  Unfortunately, we have naysayers and apathy abundant among us.

Sat in for a while on the meeting in Contra Costa tonight. My brief appearance made it 8 people. I liked what I saw. It's amazing how civil people are when they are working to create. Next time I stay for pizza. I hope that someday the NEMSA folk can set aside there hard feelings and participate. After all, bitterness is not healthy.

8 people?!  That’s all that even Contra Costa could muster.  What a joke!  If COCO who is the most pro IAEP County around can't even muster more than 8 people this local is dead before it has even started.

What happened King Rod? Can't get your loyal subjects out to kiss the royal ring?

Like I said an illegitimate organization breeds illegitimate supporters.  Great job IAEP!  Way to bring that work force together.  Get ready for nothing but takeaways from AMR in 06.

Yea IAEP is my union!  This is getting really comical watching the clowns run around and try to find a clue.  No wonder Boston is picketing for the second time.

Good luck!

Eight is not bad.  Get real, the only reason any of the debates were larger was the sensationalism.  That was where the Jerry Springer show was.  And those meetings were small.

Look at yourself, Vern. Your jealousy has turned you into an unproductive mess. You seemed like you would have made a good contributor. Now, you appear bitter and self-centered. I hate to use the language but GROW THE F%$# UP. Great, now I am just like you, angry and irrational.

Jealousy?  I don't think so.  It is reality that anchors me there Mr. 8 people is a good turn out.

So tell me how a picket line would look with your 8 people on it?

Face it, this local has no power against AMR or anyone else.  I am glad that IAEP can go around and have empty meetings and eat pizza with 8 people, but what is IAEP going to do against AMR with no support from the members?

A union is just that, the employees being unified.  If IAEP thinks 8 people in their strongest county is a union then we are dead, because that is all you got.

If you people had half a brain you would get on board with the rest of us and kick these illegitimate clowns out of here.  They have shown nothing that even resembles leadership.  In order to be a leader you have to have people behind you to lead and when IAEP turns around no one from this workforce is there.

Chicken Little?

Isn't it you who said you flipped from NEMSA because you feared they wouldn't have the clout?

Now who has their heads in the idealistic clouds?  Facts are facts.  The workforce is key and IAEP does not have the workforce.  Monterey is all but gone.  Chicken little?  It's called wake up and smell the train wreck that you people are so proud of.

You and IAEP are in deep sh*** it's about time you start facing that or you will never get support.

Your claimed "facts" are pulled from your arse. I no longer want to try and decontaminate the bio-hazard you keep spewing. Have fun with your war. Don't peck at chicken sh*t, you'll get sick.

You people must be the smartest people in EMS. When somebody points out what is wrong with IAEP all you can say is "Chicken Sh*t" and my all time favorite Peck, Peck, Peck. With you brilliant individuals working for IAEP we are going down the tubes for sure. All the smart people wanted NEMSA. I wonder how big of a pay cut we are going to get when IAEP negotiates our next contract.

Facts Erin?

Just look at the posts and the reports. 8 people show up in COCO. 1 in Santa Clara. 1 in Sonoma, 3 in ALCO. Those are not encouraging numbers going into contract negotiations which are right around the corner.

Admit it Erin. Your in trouble. None of the people that were at the table in 2001 that did a great job are with you, even Bower has taken a back seat. The people that lead their members to vote for the strike in 2001 are not supporting IAEP. What do you think is going to happen when things get tough Erin. You have no one worth their salt that can move people behind you. Like I said IAEP is in deep Sh** and all they are doing in running around having pizza parties, endorsing Kerry and waiting to get slaughtered by AMR.

I know you don't like to hear this but the only people that can pull this off are as far from IEAP support as they can get.

Wow, eight people showed up!!! and to boot , in the "strongest" IAEP county. Mmm, bet ya it was the same idiots that were "active" with Loser 250. Looks like apathy is already setting in! didn't take long Foreskin, did it? IAEP cell phones turned off yet? Be patient Foreskin, it won't be to long! So let's see what we got here so far...1.another SEIU union, 2. The same morons who coulnd't change anything before, back in charge. Endresult, NO CHANGE AT ALL! have at it you ding dongs!

Why so hostile about pecking? Do you disagree that you guys act like peckers?

I'm not surprised at the turn-out. Been around long enough to come to terms with the number of people who will show up at meetings. Even "sensational" meetings don't have a turn-out to write home about.

Tell me, who was at last negotiations who is now a big-time nemsa supporter? I can think of one. Jog my memory. Who's weight have we lost? The sentiment about striking hasn't changed. Now, I wouldn't be in deep sh*t with nemsa? Why? Because I'd have all this money???

Why are you dissing on pizza? You guys were pretty upset when the rumor went around that 25o wasn't going to supply lunch for the steward council meetings. Was this due to low turn-out and too much food being purchased? I don't know. I don't even know if it was true. Do you prefer BBQ's, is that the problem?

Vern, give me a better option. Tell me how or shut up. From what I have seen and read, IAEP is better then anything you or the other malcontents can bring to the table.

I think you are scared that only 8 people showed up. It means were happy and we trust those in charge. BI-laws will be written and they will be approved. Approved by the work force that you have tried so hard to divide. What will you do then, bitterman?

Hey Foreskin! Low turnout you say? Only a few will make all the descision you say? Say Foreskin, remind you of the old Loser250 days, doesn't it now? You of all people should feel right at home. But I'm shure that you and the other monkeys will turn things right around and bring "Change" to EMS.Oy weh did I say "change?" I meant loose change! you know, like our anal ( I'm sorry, I meant annual) raise!

I think the only thing that would make AMR happier then reading about how divided we are is if NEMSA won.

Are you kidding they are happier then pigs in sh*t that IAEP in place illegitimetly. They have killed IAEP in every contract negotiation to date. Look forward to the contract we have ever gotten. Maybe we too will loose our arbitration rights. In a couple of years we can look forward to picketing IAEP’s offices

Rat,

Have you ever actually found out anything on your own?  I will tell you that this contract we are negotiating in A.V. and L.A. is actually quite good.  We are getting a significant raise and it will be retro'd back to June.  On top of all the other great stuff we gained, the raise is most significant.

Homework is in place for you Rat Killer.  Did anybody really LOSE their arbitration rights?  Or are you getting that confused if NEMSA would have won?  If you are talking about Boston, Local 1, then get your facts straight.  Nobody lost anything, the membership voted out a few grievances on certain things, but kept other grievances AND arbitration in tact.
