Hi From Iraq

Hidey-Ho, Union Neighbors:

Greetings from the great sand pit. Actually I'm in a very nice area in Babylon on the edge of the Euphrates. Haven't gotten blown up yet, stay tuned though!

I was wondering if someone would bring me up to speed on what's been happening with our union battle. Last I heard SEIU/IAEP had won, be were still waiting to be certified by the NLRB, and that NEMSA was contesting the election. It's a little hard to wade through so many messages from some time ago, so if someone would be so kind to give me a short update, I'd appreciate it!

Hey Tom,

Don't worry in the least about what's happening here. You just stay safe and we can fill you in when you return.

But, to answer your question, you actually answered it yourself. SEIU, with its service agreement with IAEP, took the majority of the votes 660-604. NEMSA has filed an objection with the NLRB, so it will be quite some time before there is any clarification.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you for all the hard and dangerous work you, and our other troops, are doing.

Thank you,

Rod Billings

Shop Steward, IAEP

Hi Tom,

Hope all is well in Iraq.  Stay safe out there and we will all be wishing you well, here.

As for the information...  They are in the middle of creating their By-Law's and will soon meet their new Rep's.  They will be developing an Executive board soon and will be voting on them.

That is where it stands as of now, of course with all the above information as well.

Take care in Iraq and be safe out there!!

Hi Tom,

All these guys are total lame bastards that refuse to admit their true place in the world.

All other is fine.  Take care.

Forfend.

I am 100% in agreement with everyone here (except probably Forfend).  Stay safe and keep those eyes open
