THE TRUTH BEHIND TORREN’S MOTIVES…


All along, Torren Colcord has been telling us that he formed NEMSA for the benefits of EMS workers. A lot of people believed him. I know I did……….Well, after checking with the California Secretary of State’s office, guess what I learned…


 


TORREN HAS FORMED HIS OWN EMS MERCHANDISING AND EMS SUPPLY COMPANY. THAT’S RIGHT!!!!!!!!


On May 11, 2004, Torren Colcord formed RTK Enterprises, a LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING EMS MERCHANDISE and EMS SUPPLIES.


Who is Torren intending on selling EMS supplies to?


EMS COMPANIES PERHAPS????????????????


ISN’T THAT A CONFLICT OF INTEREST????


WHY DIDN’T TORREN TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS?


AND IF HE DID, I WANT TO KNOW WHO WAS IN ON IT!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot possibly expect Torren to not feed or house his family can you? The fact that he has a company or companies, does it automatically mean he is "cheating you out of your money"? And so what? Do you honestly believe that with no income he can pay bills? He deserves an income just like you!

Ok business geneous tell me exactly why there is a problem?  You are full of accusations and innuendo but you have nothing to back up your statements.  Tell me why there is a problem and then back it up

First of all, if I am going to pay dues to NEMSA, I want them focused on my co-workers and their families, not out enriching themselves...(now I know what Dave Turner was talking about!). 


Secondly, if Torren is using his position to go out and sell merchandise to the membership, shouldn't that money go to the NEMSA organization?


Finally, you may see nothing wrong with Torren selling EMS supplies to those companies he is suppose to be negotiating with for our livelihoods and our families....


BUT I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


And if this is so on the up and up, how come no one knew about it??????

Interestingly enough, that would mean that NEMSA would be buying their stuff from Torren! HMMM.....  I guess you are right, NEMSA LOVER.  He does have a family to support and bills to pay, but guess where he is getting that money?  OHHHH..  Maybe it is coming from your dues?  Thank you for bringing that point up.  You further acknowledged his business!

Since when is your private business anyone elses business? My dues didn't pay for the hummer, my dues are still being sent to SEIU, if you don't believe that, ask your employer, unless you're suggesting SEIU is paying Torren a salary? That would mean we're all f*cked. But I believe that not to be the case and neither do you according your own rethoric. If the best you folks can do is to attack people on a personal level, that just shows me and most of the people with half a brain that you have absolutely no sense of decency. Get a life, go to work. Do something that gives you fulfillment since your not being constructive here.

ARE  YOU GUYS BLIND????  Torren selling merchandise to EMS companies develops a supplier / customer relationship between Torren and AMR.  So Torren's customer is now the one he is supposed to be fighting against on our behalf??


Get a clue...  This is a clear conflict of interest.

So NEMSA LOVER, are you saying that Torren will never sell his schwag to AMR or any other EMS company in which any of his NEMSITES work?  With all the crap he has laid on us to date, how would I believe that?  And by the way, nobody has yet bothered to answer ValleyEMT's question as to why Torren has never bothered to tell any one about his little business.  We are patiently awaiting an answer.

Actually Roland, I did: it is really quite simple:


NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. there.


Just like the hummer: NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.


He doesn't tell you what motorcycle to buy, you don't tell him what car to buy. Clear?


He doesn't NEED your approval to start a business. 


AS of today, Torren's personal affairs are Torren's personal affairs and it is NOBODY's business but Torren's to divulge this information. Not my place and not Valleyemt's place. And again, any proof he is doing business with AMR?

Way to go valleyemt. You just discovered that Torren has a life outside of NEMSA.  Great job!!!  Well I guess since we all work for AMR we can have nothing to do with any EMS or fire agencie outside of AMR. I'll take it a step further....We should have no life, no supplemented income, and no ambition outside of AMR. After all we are all company men and women and dedicate our lives and souls to AMR. You just amaze me more and more every day. Imagine what you could accomplish if you used you skills for something more productive.  Never mind you work for AMR.....Your a company man. Next topic

Sorry my sarcasim did not come through loud and clear. Do not hold others to standards that you do not hold yourself. If Torren wants to start a business selling shirts than that is his business. If he uses funds from NEMSA to creat this business than that is our business. If you are a AMR employee you have every right to do what you want outside of work why not Torren? Premature speculation does nothing but set double standards and generate porpaganda.

O.K. , so free t-shirt, pens, hats days are over. I'm o.k. with that, it makes sense. Now, if he did start selling to whoever our employer is going to be, would you see that as a conflict? Or do you think this question is just "speculation".
