I just received an email from a pro-NEMSA coworker, who forwarded it to me, after they recieved it from you know who...the author himself- TORREN COLCORD. Anyone can bulk spam an email containing nothing but biased crap to sway the crowd.
I ask, who has the official document from 250? And for that matter, if Torren ISN'T in bed with AMR, then why would he be privy to such information in the first place? The memo stated that 250 gave the info to AMR, not NEMSA!!!
Which points out that Torren is up to his usual antics of mudslinging false "facts" or he & our employer are in this together.
What ever you want to call it, they were removed and the members are now without any Stewards.
No-matter how you stack it up it is against the law and a punishment for free speech (see US supreme court Fennegan V. Leu) These tactics sound all to familiar to a history major. But guess what?.. Germany lost and NAGE will too.

Well the idiot known as 911 driver is making another profound statement! NOT! I guess if you were an EMS worker or had any knowledge of SEIU Local 250 you'd know that the shop stewards for Local 250 are elected. So how is it that they can be fired? Yet again another example of the socialist republic of SEIU. Either conform or be fired!
911Driver, stop hurting yourself! Stop kissing IAEP ass! Until you were bought off my the "man" you were behind NEMSA 100%. You know by kissing so much ass, it really is not going to help you get a job. Maybe you should try this "Would you like a hot apple pie with your meal", OK it's 9.78 at the first window.
Yes, I had to recieve the information from management. They had to tell me I was no longer a steward because 250 was to Chicken Sh*t to do it themselves. How did you think management would react when they find out all of the stewards in the county are no longer allowed to handle peoples grievances or defend them in investigations.
Aaron Pelican
Still Chief Steward Sac Valley
We aren't quiting just because 250 says we are terminated, we are not turning our backs on our members like 250/IAEP is.
How did management respond? Were they gleeful? Did they mock you? Did they have compassion and empathy for you?
Were they in polos and dockers listening to top 40 80's hits?
250 did not inform anybody of this. They must have the intention of reps to handle the issues. I can not imagine my shop without the stewards to manage current grievances and investigations. I'm glad to see you are not quitting helping your fellow employees. I know you'll be open to assisting whomever represents your shop.
Thanks for your note. I am under the impression that you believe that all shops stewards have been removed. This is not so. Several stewards from Sacramento were relieved of their duties because they refused to turn over the keys to the Local 250 owned, locked bulletin board at Sacramento Operations. Furthermore, they filled the bulletin board with anti-union material from another organization.
We have informed those Stewards that once they turn in the keys to the Local 250 owned bulletin board, they will be reinstated. One of the Stewards, Dari Sargrow has returned his key and will be reinstated first thing tomorrow morning.
Please be clear, this action was not taken because of which organization these Stewards have chosen to support. If that were our intention, we could have done it months ago. We just want the union's property returned. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Dan Martin,
SEIU Local 250

I really don't like copying and pasting.. but Ice_medic... you are out of line. Perhaps you missed my earlier post about how uncalled for your comments are.....
I must say that your treatment of someone you don't even know (911driver) is pretty appalling, Ice. Your behavior doesn't do you any credit. You say that "paramedics live by a code of ethics", how ethical is it to dismiss logical questions, verbally ( by the written word here) bash someone because they don't see things the way you do, and totally dismiss the questions and concerns of an "outsider".Here is someone who has experience in the field and is considering coming back and all you can do is attempt to berrate him up one side and down the other because at this very moment he isn't working on an ambulance. Do you always deter potential brothers and sisters because they are concerned about where the profession is going? You forget that he HAS worked in the field, and therefore does have a "clue" about what this is all about. He askes valid questions that I wouldn't even think to ask.. questions that should and need to be answered. Haven't you ever heard of the theory that if a question is asked, there are probably 10 people who have the exact same question but are "afraid" to ask? You shouldn't push people around by using intimidation. That's something that NEMSA supporters should take into consideration.
I used to respect your comments.. but all you ever have to say now is put downs and blabber .. it's embarressing. Maybe I don't speak for everyone on this site, but in my opinion your behavior is an embaressment to everyone in this forum and all that are fighting for their cause/union. I feel that you do more harm then good with your frequent mouthing offs. I know, I know... we are all guilty of "spouting off" sometimes, but every time you get to the keyboard, all you do is belittle, harrass, and attempt to intimidate anyone and everyone who has the scense to question and request explainations. Often I find your comments to be just plain humorous, but in then end, they are mostly unproductive.
All I ask is that you refrain from behaving like the playground bull and instead present yourself as the professional that you say you are. If that is too much to ask, well then... thank you for showing us your true colors. Have a good day, and be safe.

They cannot be fired. They may be recalled or removed from service. NEMSA would have been able to fire stewards.
Any steward that helped NEMSA should be banned from union leadership. They should be brought up on charges that violate the constition and by-laws and be assessed financial penalties and suspended or expelled from membership.
I think that not punishing union crimes is a larger sign of weakness not punishing management for Labor relation violations. It takes a lot more courage to execute one of your own than to destroy the enemy.
