Where are they?

We know where Tim is. Somewhere Leaving Las Vegas. But, where are the intelligent posters? Shadowfax? Old Rhino? Where are the posters that gave us so much insight into NEMSA?  Ice Medic, Medic One, NEMSA Love is blind ooops! I mean NEMSA Lover, WC Union Guy, COEMS, Ruderveck (phonetically)or, whatever.

They are in scramble mode. They, right now, are probably at your front door with petition in hand. They cannot accept the fact that they lost.

I think it is wasted energy. But, if that is the only thing to hang on to, I guess thay have to try. The NLRB doesn't strike me as a federal organization that will think its methods are unfair.

Play with my money:

I'm still here in So. Cal. You see the voted in No. Cal does not effect us.  We are still part of 250. I will be reading the post from time to time. Like you I also get a laugh of it. I wish you lots of luck in No. Cal with IAEP, because your going to need it.

Carlos,

I also wish you the best of luck. I have enjoyed reading your posts. I guess on many things we will have to agree to disagree. But you are my brother EMT, and when it comes time to negotiate with AMR, I hope you would have kept my email and correspond with me. I think you are invaluable, and I hope you would become a shop steward again. You do not have to agree with SEIU, IAEP, or even NEMSA. I hope you will overcome the bitterness that has been created and tend to the people you have represented.

I have family in Mission Viejo. Maybe a few beers on my way down??

Thank you Carlos,

Rod Billings

Thanks for the invite. You have been a loyal friend to many employees in your area. Yes I have bitter feeling for several 250 managers because they have lied to me and my fellow co-workers in So. Cal. I hope in the near fulture that everyone will be united as they were before. I have no hard feeling for anyone who speaks their mind or expresses them-self. I have a problem when they lie and make up things. Keep up the good work a stay ontop on IAEP. Make sure they follow with their promises.

Hey Vocational educated man,

Can you tell me the place in the official NLRB documents that 250 won?  That is what I thought, you can't, because there isn't one.  The NLRB has not certified anyone.  What that means there, hooked on phonics, is that 250 has not won.  The only one that can declare a victory here is AMR, but that won't matter to you, because you will be working for Southwest soon.

Back to school Rodney.

Medic One,

What is with the "Vocational" comments repeatedly?  Technically arent many EMTs and Medics trained through vocational school?  So if you are going to try to poke fun at Rod for having his training via vocational school, arent you in essence trying to poke fun at the majority of EMTs and Medics?  The same EMTs and Medics that NEMSA has been trying to lure over to their side?  So your theory is that if you, as a NEMSA supporter, make fun of us, we will want to go to NEMSA instead?  Hmm, interesting theory? Any other brilliant ideas?  The way you say it, to make it sound like you think you are better than us lowly field employees.  You must have a masters, undergrad, phd, md, dds, dvm, et al.  Fill me on on whatever Im forgetting.

PS-Regarding the Southwest comments, shut your yap when you're referring to a topic you know nothing about.  Unless you have sat in on the EMCC meetings in CoCo, unless you have sat down and chatted with Art Lathrop of CoCo EMS, unless you have sat in on the meetings with field employees and union reps......shut your mouth.  When you become a CoCo employee, and attend these things, then, and only then, do you have the right to consider yourself knowledgeable on this topic.  Have a great day!

For what it is worth Medic_One, I graduated from Daniel Freeman in 1988 as valedictorian of my class. Yes, to this day, I am still proud of that, and the school I attended. I am very proud to be a licensed paramedic, vocational or not. I was proud when I became a shop steward, an FTO, a preceptor, a CCT medic. I am proud of the hard work I have done on behalf of SEIU and IAEP. I believe I was a small part of all those responsible for getting the turn-out that we did.

How about more insight into my working class existence. Last night, I went 2 for 3 in my playoff game with 2 RBI's. You see, we can't afford a horse so polo is definitely out for me. I will simply have to settle on our nation's pastime. The night before, I went 3 for 4 with a double off the wall, then scoring twice. My feet were hurting, so my baserunning kinda sucked. Not only can we not afford that horse, but I have to play in my company sponsored workboots (can't afford my own workboots neither).

My beautiful daughter Sierra wants an RV. We settled on blankets and a tarp. The tarp we had to steal.

Now my wife, I definitely can't afford her. She wanted a night in the city, dinner at Aqua's, and an evening at the theater. Yep, you guessed it, McDonald's and me passin' gas under the covers. Now that's what I call Beach Blanket Babylon, yes siree! <spits out chaw...lookin fer da straw hat>

Thanks,

I dun fergot how to spel ma name

Not to mention, medic one thought that all of us vocationally educated people were more than smart enough to "lead" nemsa in all battles we might face; after all we've done it all so far and have never had need for seiu, afl-cio, or any help at the bargaining table, and certainly no help in defending the contract locally, right? I thought that was why nemsa was preferred, because it would be run by all these "vocationally educated" people.

Does medic one have a split personality, or masked disdain for his fellow collegues due to an over-inflated image of himself?

Definitely one with a higher education, but you would be disregarded, because you're not one of the "vocational" members; in their perception of a purest ideal for representative worth.

Oh Yeah, I gues I'd fit into that vocational mold Medic One is talking about.  NEMSA must be truely honored to have such highly educated and professional people such as Medic One as a supporter.  I'm sure he will do well in protecting the rights of all 100 NEMSA members.

I think that every body is drinking malt beverage.  It is loud and in the midst of conversation that cannot be understood you have the famous "er wut?" mixing through the air.
