lol!!! soo... there.... it's been a long day for some of us.. and it's not even Wednesday!!!! and there's not a lot of new posts that require the usual outbursts.. not to mention that some (and I'm not mentioning names.. but does M_O mean anything) just keep on running their mouths and sometimes it just gets redundent to keep listening...... and just plain wearingly threadbare to keep "answering" when all the facts are presented and "he" doesn't "listen"...

I can't wait to add to my ever growing list of mindnumbing rhetoric and eyebleeding exasberation...... did I spell that right??

Okay, so now it is Wednesday, and has been even lllooooonnngggeeerrr than yesterday.  Day isn't even over yet.

I checked out the Nemsa site today.  Haven't been over there in awhile.  Seemed a little quiet (you could hear the crickets).  Have the NEMSA supporters been bombarding this site or have they actually given it a break for awhile?

CuteCat,

I dunno. But I am much more busy with getting our new local off the ground. If any of you hasn't gone to an IAEP meeting, could you please? This includes NEMSA supporters. It doesn't mean you have given up on NEMSA; you obviously can continue on with that if you feel that is what you want to do. But you can also put your two cents worth in the development of your new local. I think two of the most important things that have been brought to life is much more involvement with your union, even if it was to support NEMSA. More people have taken a look at their representation than ever before. I think this can be healthy if we can capitalize on it, by keeping people involved in a positive sense. The other thing that was made clear is they don't want the exact same type of representation as before. If people would let their guards down and take an honest look at what we are trying to accomplish, they would soon see that we want what is best for our members. Let me be perfectly honest and selfish here, if we can secure a good contract, then I personally gain from that. What's good for all of you is good for my family as well.

Well, something to think about.

They are busy bitching about the service agreement and how they didn't get to vote whether or not to allow 250 to present it to the membership before the NLRB election.

They are hypocritical, in that they have convenient amnesia about the numerous labor management meetings in Livermore where decisions for the bargaining group were made routinely by who showed up at the meeting. Most never even troubled themselves to write a newsletter to let the members in their counties know what was going on.

That way of doing business needs to end, so bitchers, get involved in the writing of the bylaws.

ParaManiac,

I totally agree with you.  I have been to many IAEP meetings.  I think that IAEP is getting the word out, but more people should show an interest in their new Union.  Everyone is a part of the Union and they have a huge voice.  In order to make a Union work, the membership needs to work together.  I know many people are not welcome to the idea of the IAEP, but I know first hand that they have done wonderful things for many people.  Maybe, after a cooling off period, people who initially opposed the idea of the IAEP, will soon begin to open their minds and grow with the Union.

I am not a bitcher

I take the corrupt to task, bring me their heads!

I love the term convenient amnesia.  Convenient amnesia.  All are guilty of it in one way or another.  But the NEMSA folks have no credible excuse denying responsibility and accountability for other peoples money.
