Official word from Lisa Lisard; NAGE/IAEP's Informational Director refused any sort of debate with NEMSA. Ms. Ross of Alameda County, CA. was informed just minutes ago that NAGE/IAEP will not debate any issue's with NEMSA. Ms. Ross was tasked with setting up and preparing the details of this debate. All the IAEP supporters, I guess you can ask NAGE/IAEP why they backed out. Kind of hard to spin that huh guys? Why would NAGE/IAEP not want to debate with NEMSA? Maybe because they know that the rank and file would ask the tough questions! Like the illegal service agreement, etc.
Don't be fooled!!! The OFFICIAL word from IAEP/NEMSA Inc. (ASK ANY HIGH RANKNG PERSON) is that NEMSA Inc. wanted to announce the debate as NEMSA Inc. vs. SEIU/NAGE. Since EMS workers that are under the SEIU contract are now IAEP members (According to the LEGAL Service Agreement effective August 20th) IAEP would not be apart of more NEMSA Inc. propaganda. This is Torren chnaging the rules at the last second because he is scared and wants to stall until after the vote. As it stands, IAEP will show up, but if NEMSA Inc. insists on the SEIU/NAGE thing, it is over.

This was being arranged by the employees of Alameda County AMR and NOBODY ELSE. Ms. Ross is a paramedic who attempted to facilitate this debate.
Ms. Ross does not work for Nemsa, she works for AMR, she was being a host. The mediator, was a professional mediator, with no agenda towards either side. His bio as REQUESTED by Ms. Lisard was send to them for approval, the rules were standard rules, also known as the College Debate rules. IAEP wanted to change the rules the same way 250 wanted to change the debate rules. The only people not making this debate happen are IAEP. Now will you go study...
IAEP - Local 250 - NAGE - SEIU - whoever - have backed down from a debate....now that is a surprise!
After all, Local 250 got a "clock cleaning" EVERYTIME they attempted a debate. (Question:What time is it 250? Answer: Time for a change!)
When you get into a battle of TRUTH and LOGIC, you don't want to come unarmed - which is exactly why they chickened out of a debate!
People - know this - NEMSA is an simply an organization of EMS workers, founded by field experianced, knowledgeable EMS labor representatives - who KNOW the myriad of problems with belonging to a large, affiliated union - who have SEEN the shortcomings of that organization - who have, because of their dedication to the profession, truly desire to see this Industry elevated to where it should be!
There is no conspiracy or secret here - EMS needs this! I have seen EMS ignored and superceded by other Divisions of Local 250 first hand! The IAEP is no different - they are still bound by rules of which YOU the EMS provider in the street, have NO SAY over!
Take control of your future! Your power is great and UNTAPPED! DON'T BE MISLEAD BY AN ORGANIZATION THAT JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY TO FUEL THEIR AGENDA!
Easily led and unquestioning members of EMS. Follow NEMSA down the untrod and dangerous path. Dont bring a flashlight to search for the dangers (they have already scouted ahead). Dont ask to see financial projections when NEMSA supporters claim that "some of us stand to make alot of money". And most importantly, dont try to educate yourself about this vote. Because the more info you have, and the more logic and reason you utilize, the glitter starts to fade and the uncertain and dangerous future becomes clear. So you refuse to debate because IAEP can't sign the signature statement as SEIU/NAGE as that would not be there true legal identity. They are IAEP. Well, we'll be there, you stay home with your bag of tricksies.
Noooo, again Liza Lizard is the person who didn't want to adhere to the debate rules. Nemsa had already accepted the "challenge"on tuesday. IAEP had until 17:00 today to respond to the standard rules of College Debates, but failed to do so . So why don't you and your bag of trixies stay home... with a box of kleenex to dry your tears...
your current facts are apperantly incorerect. NEMSA tried without luck, to estabilsh rules that would limit the fourm of the debate. this was a tactic that the IAEP did not go for because it would not enable the voting parties to ask any question that they would like to have answered.
The debate would have been so much more fun if NEMSA did not arrive. I was waiting for the props to come out to fill in the gaps. Oh well, we had to be stuck with the real thing and IAEP won the vote in the end.
