ACCORDING TO IAEP COMMUNICATION DIRECTOR, NEMSA WILL NOT AGREE TO DEBATE IAEP, UNLESS NEMSA CAN PUT THEM ON THE FORUM AS SEIU/NAGE!!!! THIS IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL, AND COWARDLY OF NEMSA!!!! IAEP IS IAEP!! WHY CAN'T WE CALL THEM THIS????!!! THE DEBATE WAS IAEP'S IDEA, THEY IN NO WAY ARE BACKING OUT, IN FACT, THE IAEP NATIONAL PRESIDENT WILL BE IN ALCO OPS TOMORROW AT 6!!!!!! You couldn't get more wrong!!! I talked with one of the shop stewards from ALCO not more than an hour ago. IAEP backed out, not NEMSA!!!! IAEP was not going to follow the collegiate debate rules. IAEP didn't want any time limits set, nor did they want an idependant moderator therefore they BACKED out! All you little Santa Cruz fella's can show up all you want to the ALCO op's but any form of professional debate has been cancelled by IAEP/NAGE. Good luck, and best wishes.
You mean like the professional collegiate debate in Sacramento? IAEP agreed to everything except signing the signature statement as SEIU/NAGE. How can they do that when they are IAEP? Well, we'll be there, and NEMSA can stay home and BBQ with their bag of tricksies.

I have heard that they will be there and follow all the appropriate collegiate rules of debate. They only want to be called by their name which represents the only nationwide EMS union.

The IAEP has said that they wanted a debate. Not an argument. If the two representatives get up in front of the AMR employees and just argue then I agree with you. Let’s give them a chance. I really don’t think either side is stupid enough to get into a fight with each other in a debate format. It is a good opportunity for us to see what the other side has to offer.

People - know this - NEMSA is an simply an organization of EMS workers, founded by field experianced, knowledgeable EMS labor representatives - who KNOW the myriad of problems with belonging to a large, affiliated union - who have SEEN the shortcomings of that organization - who have, because of their dedication to the profession, truly desire to see this Industry elevated to where it should be!
There is no conspiracy or secret here - EMS needs this! I have seen EMS ignored and superceded by other Divisions of Local 250 first hand! The IAEP is no different - they are still bound by rules of which YOU the EMS provider in the street, have NO SAY over!

The Truth, Look, it is hard to argue logic and reasoning into your thought process, and you can basicaly believe whatever you want. But just so you know, pretty much most of us know that NEMSA did back out. And how do we know this? BECAUSE IAEP HAS GIVEN US THEIR GUARANTEE THEY WILL BE THEIR WITH THEIR PRESIDENT! So you can spin it all you want, but it will come down to this for the members: The members will be there, Will NEMSA? if they do not show, IN OUR EYES they have officially backed out, and you cannot convince us otherwise. So you can keep trying the brainwashing, but please understand that IAEP will be there, at the same time. IAEP in fact has been posting and faxing directions all yesterday. NEMSA has made no attempt to try and get people to go, so it just shows that they never were going to follow through anyways. I know sometimes it is difficult to see through our own blinders, but make no mistake, WE KNOW THE TRUTH! and the truth is IAEP will be there, and NEMSA has said they will not. That to me is an official back down by NEMSA. Why is NEMSA so scared? How come a month ago they were bragging that 250 wouldnt debate them. The Truth, why are you selling such propaganda? strife, on the 250 withdrawl for ever debating Nemsa: you will only have to go to their website. It will state there, that 250 will not debate anymore.That was decided by 250 AFTER Dan fell flat on his face in Sacramento, where he started to behave like a four year old with a tantrum. Roland was there, Aaron was there, Audra was, Kevin Tarbell Moderated WITH an other moderator chosen by 250. The fit he threw was about them bringin their own PRE prepared questions, and not wanting the audience to participate with questions. Nemsa had NO objections from the start. they welcomed those questions. and they answered those questions. Paul Angelo has that all on UNCUT video tape. wonder why 250 doesn't want you to see that?
Exactly my point NEMSA lover! thank you for making it so clear. So in an essence NEMSA is backing out of the debate today because they are scared, ok I guess we cleared that up. Interesting NEMSA will only debate 250, but not IAEP, oh well, guess we know who should represent us.
